Leslie Gleim is a Honolulu-based fine art photographer who has called Hawai’i home since 2007. Her artistic journey took a transformative turn in 2017, when she embarked on her first helicopter flight over Hawai’i Island to document lava flows. Witnessing new growth emerging from destruction profoundly influenced her perspective, inspiring her to delve into themes of regeneration, transformation, and the dynamic cycles of creation and destruction that define Hawai’i’s volcanic landscapes.
