I am a photographer deeply drawn to the authenticity of human connection and the beauty of cultural resilience. My work is rooted in natural light—I never use flash or artificial setups, as I believe less gear creates a more comfortable and organic experience for my subjects. This allows me to connect with them deeper, capturing their essence without intrusion. Occasionally, when I have the time, I incorporate a black backdrop—particularly when camping—creating an intimate space to balance both environmental and portraiture elements. However, my process always begins the day before a shoot. I explore the area, searching for the best natural light (“chasing the light”) and ensuring the background complements the subject without distractions. Just as important is observing and connecting with the people, and understanding who is comfortable with my presence behind the lens. My photography is defined by its relaxed, immersive style—capturing joy, beauty, and quiet moments of connection in a subject’s natural environment. Whether it’s the strength of Ethiopian tribes or the spiritual devotion in Bali, I strive to document cultural narratives with honesty and warmth. I shoot primarily in Africa, particularly Ethiopia, but Bali is home. My husband is Balinese, and my connection to the island runs deep, especially in the villages where tradition, Hindu rituals, and daily resilience are ever-present. When I’m not travelling, I work from my Photography Gallery & Coffee House in Bali, where my small, dedicated team understands and shares my passion for storytelling through images. For years, I exclusively used Canon gear, but three years ago, I transitioned to Sony Alpha R5 (two bodies), paired with my go-to lenses: • Sony G Master 24-70mm • Sony G Master 70-200mm • Sony 50mm Prime • Sony 16-35mm However, I only carry what is necessary for each shoot, ensuring I remain as mobile and unobtrusive as possible. The two series I have submitted—Ethiopia and Bali—reflect my deep appreciation for culture, beauty, and resilience. Whether in the remote Omo Valley or the heart of Bali’s spiritual traditions, my focus remains the same: to honour the people I photograph and to share their stories with the world.

I came to photography from film directing. In 2013, I graduated from a prestigious film school in Moscow and continued to master visual arts independently. While shooting various commercial works and honing my technique, like any artist, I wanted to go beyond the ordinary. Over the years of work, inspired by directors such as Wong Kar-Wai and David Lynch, I developed my own unique style. Now you can see my works in various publications worldwide. I enjoy sharing my feelings through visual creations because it’s an expression that everyone can interpret in their own unique way. For different viewers, a photograph can be both a question and an answer at the same time. This is its uniqueness, its power, which is why I love it.

Germany
Lennard Grohn, born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, is a photographer whose work seamlessly blends melancholy with a profound celebration of life's beauty. From the moment he received his first analog camera at the age of 12, a gift from his parents, Lennard discovered a passion for storytelling through light and composition. He later refined his craft at the University of Fine Arts in Mainz, where his studies laid the foundation for his classic approach to photography. This formative period shaped his dedication to creating timeless images that capture both personal narratives and universal emotions. After the untimely loss of his father, Lennard found solace in black-and-white photography, using it as a medium to explore themes of memory, childhood, and the imperfections of a once-idealized world. Alongside his photographic pursuits, Lennard's background as a drummer and percussionist brings a sense of rhythm and movement to his work, leading some to say his images echo with the harmony of music.

Tina Sturzenegger
Switzerland
Tina Sturzenegger is a Swiss photographer specializing in food, still life, and visual storytelling. Her artistic practice explores the aesthetics of food and its cultural, social, and emotional significance. Two elements drive her fascination with this subject: the striking visual appeal of food in all its forms and its role in shaping societal structures. Influenced by the bold aesthetics of the 1970s and 80s, Tina blends elements of design, fashion, and nostalgia to create immersive, almost cinematic tableaus where food becomes both subject and symbol. By pushing boundaries and defying conventions, her work challenges perceptions, evoking a dialogue between indulgence and restraint, artifice and authenticity—always with a sense of playfulness woven throughout. After completing a business administration degree, Tina taught herself photography and high-end image retouching. Her work has been exhibited at the MIA Photo Fair in Milan, the Tokyo International Photo Awards, and Galerie Joseph in Paris, among others. She has collaborated with renowned national and international clients, including Denner AG, Farner Consulting, Nestlé Switzerland AG, UBS (Switzerland) AG, Michel Reybier Hospitality. Tina is represented in the DACH region by the Zurich-based agency Visualeyes Artists and has been a jury member of the Art Directors Club in Zurich since 2020.
