AAP Magazine is now accepting submissions for its 48th edition, focusing on one of photography’s most enduring and powerful genres: the portrait. More than a visual representation, the best portraits reveal something deeper—a glimpse into the subject’s soul, a connection that crosses cultures, generations, and geography.
This new edition of AAP Magazine invites photographers from around the world to share work that explores the aesthetic and emotional essence of portraiture. Whether taken in a controlled studio environment, captured candidly in the street, or created as conceptual fine art, portraits can celebrate diversity, honesty, creativity, and self-expression in countless ways. From classic portraiture to the rise of the selfie, all interpretations of the genre are welcome.
Photographers are encouraged to submit a cohesive body of work or a portfolio that tells a story, reflects a vision, or connects emotionally with the viewer. Submissions may be in color or black and white, and all photographic techniques, including traditional and non-traditional methods, are eligible. Creativity, originality, and visual or emotional impact will guide the selection process.
