First Place Winner: Chiron Duong
I am Chiron Duong (real name: Dat Duong). Born in 1996 in Vietnam. I studied architecture in Vietnam and now work as an architect and fashion photographer. The inspiration for my fashion work comes from the traditional Vietnamese or Asian culture that I have learned from my relationships with others. Asian tones are not only extremely flamboyant, floating, but also generous and meaningful. Furthermore, I want to convey the feelings of mystery of folklore, faith and religion in the lives of Asians through colours and photos that resonate with fashion, as well as the interference of Western and Vietnamese culture. I practice many techniques in photography to create emotions in my works rather than seeking a visual impression.

The prize has revealed talented photographers who now have an international career: Louis Decamps (Winner 1998), Sofia & Mauro (Winners 2002), Marjolijn de Groot (Winner 2003) or Kourtney Roy (Special Mention 2007).The Picto Prize for Fashion Photography has evolved rapidly, thanks to its loyal partners and jurors renewed each year in the world of fashion, luxury, advertising, art and photography. In 2013, the prize begins to open up internationally and includes international winners such as Alice Pavesi Fiori (Italy) - Special Mention 2013, Ting Ting Wang (China) - Laureate 2013, Charlotte Abramow (Belgium) - Laureate 2014 or Laurent Henrion (Belgium) - Laureate 2016.since 2014, the prize rewards 3 photographers each year.
