For the 42nd edition of AAP Magazine, we invited photographers to explore the theme of "Shapes" as a crucial element of visual storytelling and composition. From abstract forms to intricate architectural details, we were looking for submissions that highlighted the power of shape and form in photography, whether used to create pure visual impact or to enhance a deeper narrative.

The winners of the 39th AOP Photography Awards, celebrating excellence in the creative photography and image-making industry, have been announced live at an Awards ceremony in London on the evening of Thursday 26 September 2024 as part of the AOP Annual Showcase event, sponsored by MPB, this year’s headline sponsor. As the voice for photographers since 1968, the AOP Awards programme recognises and promotes professional excellence, technical ability and talent at all stages of a photographer’s career.

Visa pour l'Image, the Perpignan international photojournalism festival, awarded prizes and grants on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the conclusion of a successful edition. €193,000 was awarded to talented photojournalists during the professional week of Visa pour l’Image.
