PHOTO IS:RAEL invites artists to submit proposals for the central exhibition of the 9th International Photography Festival in Tel Aviv, November 2021.

A jury of leading experts spanning a wide range of artistic genres will review the open call submissions and select the exhibiting artists.
20 artists will be invited to present their work in the festival’s central exhibition, and will also be featured on the website and in the festival catalog..

MEETING POINT

Photographers, as well as video, performance and interdisciplinary artists from around the world and at different stages of their career, are all welcome to submit their existing works, or proposals for new work on the topic.

Submission fee: $15.00, including a free entry ticket to the Photography Festival for all submitting artists.

Dörte Eisseldt Wins the Viviane Esders Prize
Convened by Viviane Esders, the jury has awarded the 2025 Viviane Esders Prize to German photographer Dörte Eißfeldt. The laureate will be officially announced on November 3 during a ceremony at the INHA (Institut National de l’Histoire de l’Art) in Paris and in her presence. She will receive an endowment of €50,000, while the two other finalists, Oleksandr Suprun and Bohdan Holomíček, will each receive €5,000 and will also attend the event. The jury chose to honor an artistic practice sustained over more than forty years, distinguished by its coherence, poetry, and deep reflection on the photographic medium—qualities that particularly captivated the jury’s attention in Dörte Eißfeldt’s work.
