FOTONOVIEMBRE Call for Artists in Selection

FOTONOVIEMBRE is a photography festival which focuses on various aspects related with the image, contemporary art, new technologies, photographic heritage, artistic creation and the development of the medium. The mandate of the festival, held in Tenerife since 1991 and a driving engine for photography in the Canary Islands and further afield, is to enable and promote a wide-ranging rethinking of the image as a means of expression, communication and participation.

TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, under the auspices of the Isla de Tenerife Photography Centre, announces the 16th call for Artists in Selection, FOTONOVIEMBRE, in accordance with the following:

1. Aim of call:
To promote artistic creation by means of the selection of five (5) artworks to be exhibited in the Artists in Selection section and to pre-select artworks for the Atlántica Colectivas section.

The Artists in Selection section is an exhibition open to the participation of all artists who use photography, video and/or installation as their means of expression. The projects submitted to Artists in Selection but not chosen for the final selection will be entered into another selection for the Atlántica Colectivas section.

2. Procedure:
Participation takes place through this public call and in accordance with the following order: submission of projects for consideration, publication of provisional list of chosen works and artists, notification of deadline to amend deficiencies, publication of final list of chosen works and artists, the jury's evaluation and the resolution of the organizers with the publication of the names of works and artists chosen for the Artists in Selection section and subsequent notification of the works and artists shortlisted for the Atlántica Colectivas section.
