Size Matters celebrates photo based artwork smaller than 10”. Previous exhibitions have included 35mm contact prints to multi-media digital work, sculptural works, camera-less images, and exquisite 8”x10” contact prints. No matter what kind of camera you use (or if you don’t use a camera) Size Matters is the premier photography exhibition celebrating small work

We offer six awards based on work in the final exhibition. These include the Purchase Award ($1000) selected by our exhibition juror, the Director's Choice Award ($500), the People’s Choice Award ($250), and three honorable mentions. The 2024 exhibition is juried by Crista Dix of the Griffin Museum in Winchester, MA, and will be on view from April 2-30 at the Athenaeum Music and Arts Center in San Diego's Barrio Logan neighborhood. Carmignac Photojournalism Award - 14th edition  Afghanistan: No Woman’s Land
The 14th edition of the Carmignac Photojournalism Award is dedicated to the condition of women and girls in Afghanistan following the return of the Taliban to power in August 2021. The Award was granted to the reporting project proposed by the duo of Canadian-Iranian photojournalist Kiana Hayeri and French researcher Mélissa Cornet, which was produced over a six-month period with the support of the Fondation Carmignac.
