Corbijn's portraits of figures such as Alexander McQueen, Tom Waits and Naomi Campbell have now achieved iconic status. As visual director behind Depeche Mode and through his decades-long collaboration with U2 and others, he has made his mark on the way we look at an important aspect of contemporary culture. With MOOD/MODE, Anton Corbijn shows that fashion is everywhere. The book contains some 100 photographs, many of them published for the first time, and its world première will be in Knokke-Heist, running from 4 April to 5 July 2020. Anton Corbijn, born in 1955 in Strijen (NL), lives and works in The Hague (NL). Corbijn was born in the Netherlands, but lived and worked in London for 30 years. He is best known for his black and white photographs of actors, musicians and artists, though he cannot be seen as a celebrity photographer - rather as someone who captures personalities that intrigue him. Some of his photographs have become iconic images of modern pop culture. Besides his photographic oeuvre, Corbijn has designed stages, directed music videos and directed feature films. In 2007 he made his film debut with Control, about the life of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis. In 2014 his film A Most Wanted Man was released and in 2015 his new film Life - about the friendship between actor James Dean and photographer Dennis Stock - had its premiere. In South Louisiana, where the Mississippi River meets the Gulf of Mexico, water―and the history of controlling it―is omnipresent. Into the Quiet and the Light: Water, Life, and Land Loss in South Louisiana glimpses the vulnerabilities and possibilities of living on the water during an ongoing climate catastrophe and the fallout of the fossil fuel industry―past, present, and future. The book sustains our physical, mental, and emotional connections to these landscapes through a collection of photographs by Virginia Hanusik. Framing the architecture and infrastructure of South Louisiana with both distance and intimacy, introspection and expansiveness, this work engages new memories, microhistories, anecdotes, and insights from scholars, artists, activists, and practitioners working in the region. Unfolding alongside and in dialogue with Hanusik’s photographs, these reflections soberly and hopefully populate images of South Louisiana’s built and natural environments, opening up multiple pathways that defy singularity and complicate the disaster-oriented imagery often associated with the region and its people. In staging these meditations on water, life, and land loss, this book invites readers to join both Hanusik and the contributors in reading multiplicity into South Louisiana’s water-ruled landscapes.

Jon Enoch is a London-based freelance photographer, who works with celebrities, sports people, CEOs, as well as advertising agencies and brands. Jon regularly creates his own personal work, which have won numerous awards over the years. Jon’s recent project ‘The Candymen of Mumbai’ has won a Portrait of Humanity award and was the overall winner of the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the year 2023. His previous 2019 project called ‘Bikes of Hanoi’ also picked up multiple awards including the Paris Photo Prize - Gold in 2019, Portrait of Humanity Award 2020 and was the Smithsonian Grand Prize Winner in 2020.
