Susanne Grether is a German street photographer based in New York City. She pursued her interest in photography by studying at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York, where she discovered her passion for street photography. She has since had the opportunity to participate in several worldwide workshops in these continents. Her work has been featured in curated exhibitions all over the world.
Statement:
What I like most about street photography is the spontaneity. There's no planning or staging involved, which makes it exciting as you never know what situations you'll encounter or what people you'll meet. This is what makes it so appealing to me.
When I travel, I enjoy observing the lives of others. The stranger their way of life seems compared to mine, the more curious I become. It feels like being a child again, discovering life with the greatest curiosity.
